14 oz Double-Sided Black Japanese Selvedge Denim Fabric
A distinctive 14 oz Japanese selvedge denim inspired by original early-era Levi’s 66 jeans, featuring a sharp vertical slub texture and a rare double-sided black construction.
Woven in Okayama—the heartland of Japanese denim—this 100% cotton fabric uses several irregular yarns with different slub characteristics. These variations are carefully balanced throughout the weave, creating the natural, organic texture associated with vintage 66-era denim.
Unlike conventional black denim with a lighter reverse, this fabric is black on both sides. The result is a rich, versatile appearance that makes the reverse of the denim an intentional part of the design.
At 14 oz, it provides excellent structure and durability while remaining suitable for everyday garments and accessories. The fabric is sanforized to reduce shrinkage, although a small amount of residual shrinkage may still occur during the first wash.

Washing & Care
Black denim naturally releases colour and develops character through washing and wear. Wash separately, especially during the first few washes, as the dye may transfer to other fabrics and surfaces.
For best results:
- Wash separately in cold water
- Use a mild detergent
- Avoid bleach and optical brighteners
- Do not tumble dry
- Reshape while damp and line dry
- Expect a small amount of residual shrinkage after the first wash
